FIRRMAT, under the aegis of UNESCO, attracts numerous foreign groups and tourists each year, making the economic capital a hub for encounters between peoples. The festival concludes on November 28th with numerous performances scheduled throughout the city of Douala.
The city of Douala pulsates to the rhythm of the International Festival of Encounters, Rhythms, Rituals, Masks, and Traditional Arts. The opening ceremony, presided over by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Arts and Culture (MINAC), is a lively and colorful event.
