Ballet Folklorico Buho Nicolaita
The Ballet Folklórico Búho Nicolaita was founded in February 2015, under the auspices of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at the University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo, in the state of Michoacán, with the aim of promoting, disseminating, and transmitting our customs and traditions through regional Mexican dance and music at national and international festivals, as well as in community outreach programs. This group seeks to strengthen and instill in the youth of the University of San Nicolás values such as discipline, tolerance, responsibility, and respect, engaging them in the country's cultural activities and thus fostering a culture of peace through the strengthening of national identity. Despite its brief artistic history, this group has managed, through its programs, to participate in the cultural life of the state and the country, offering high-quality performances at Mexico's most important festivals. It has also established itself internationally, with tours in Italy, Colombia, and Costa Rica, where our culture is continually promoted... "a living culture."
