SCUOLA DI DANZA POPOLARE “GRUPUL VATRA”

APS ASD PRIMO PASSO

In 2011, before Primo Passo even existed, Grupul Vatra was founded in Turin by a small group of friends led by choreographer and dancer Iurie Raileanu, driven by homesickness and a love of Romanian folklore. What began as a simple meeting between compatriots soon became a mission: to preserve, promote, and transmit Romanian culture and traditions in the diaspora.
Today, Grupul Vatra is the largest Romanian and Moldovan folk dance school in the diaspora, an integral part of the larger Primo Passo family.
A school, a group, an ensemble, a community: a place where people dance, learn, create, share, and preserve their identity.
With active locations in Turin, Nichelino, and Milan, Primo Passo & Grupul Vatra together represent a cultural, educational, and artistic platform that
embraces dancesport, folk dance, language, traditions, craftsmanship, identity, interculturality, and personal growth.
