BAFOJONE - BALLET FOLKLORICO JORGE NEWBERY
The spirit that motivated the creation of the group was the expansion of traditional Argentine and Latin American dance, both at a rigorous academic level and in terms of folkloric expression. It was founded in 1994 as an extension of the Argentine and Latin American Folk Dance Training Center "Santiago del Estero."
The work carried out is purely artistic and is supported by ongoing research and theoretical and practical learning. It takes the cultural values of a folkloric region and conceives them within a universal aesthetic code, without losing sight of the essential elements that sustain the cultural roots of its peoples.
The primary objective is to recover, maintain, promote, and project the cultural values of our country and Latin America through high-quality performance, giving the Ballet a distinctive rhythm, flavor, and color.
