ASSOCIAZIONE FOLKLORISTICA GIOVANILE CULTURALE "SICILIA NU CORI
Folklore group “Sicilia nu cori” has been established in 2006 in Campofranco. The name “Sicilia nu cori” reflects the group love towards its region origin- Sicily. The group is made of people who love folk music and Sicilian traditions. Presently the group consists of 30-40 members who do their best to spread Sicilian traditions all over the world, keenly focusing on traditions, which originated in Campofranco. “Sicilia nu cori” has been performing both on their own stages and stages across all Europe. The repertoire is a lively one and includes such rhythmic dances as Tarantellas, Polkas or mazurkas. Additionally, the group performs a lot of folk song, which used to be sang during harvests.
“Sicilia nu cori” takes you on a magical adventure into Sicilian traditions. The group is lead by Prof. Francesca Taibi and the art director Pino Schembri who has great experience in folk music.
