From July 30 to August 2, 2026, the town of Atina hosted the 47th edition of the “Valle di Comino – Luciano Sarda Memorial” International Folklore Festival. This event is a highlight of the Italian folklore scene, bringing together groups from various countries to celebrate culture, music, and folk traditions.
Among the key participants was the IFFGA (International Folklore Festival & Groups Association), represented by its president, Francesco Mallozzi. He took part in official proceedings and meetings with international delegations, reaffirming the association’s commitment to promoting intangible cultural heritage and strengthening ties between peoples through folklore.
The IFFGA’s presence underscores its support for events that celebrate cultural identities and foster international dialogue, helping to establish the “Valle di Comino” Festival as a landmark event within the national and international folklore community.
