BALLET FOLKLORICO AZTLAN DE MÉXICO
Ballet Folklórico Aztlán de México is a widely admired dance company, known for our captivating performances of traditional Mexican folklore. Our organization offers a unique, high-energy cultural experience by combining professional dance with live Mariachi music. We are not merely a performing arts company; we are officially recognized as Ambassadors of Mexican Culture and Folklore by the Mexican Federal Government. In 2015, the Mexican federal government awarded us the prestigious Othli Award—the highest honor bestowed upon institutions and individuals who promote Mexican culture at the highest level. That year, we were officially named ambassadors of Mexican culture, marking one of the greatest moments in our organization's history!
Alongside our dance company, our International Mariachi Aztlan provides traditional Mexican musical accompaniment, enhancing the atmosphere and ensuring authenticity. Our acclaimed Mariachi takes pride in promoting cultural heritage and tradition through its music. We won the Latin Music Award for Best Mariachi in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
Over the past 20 years, we have participated in numerous international folklore festivals across North America, South America, and Europe, where our contributions have been highlighted by organizers—a source of great pride for us. Throughout our history, we have had the honor of performing for world leaders, including King Charles of the United Kingdom, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Mexican President Vicente Fox, as well as at the White House in the United States. Furthermore, we have had the privilege of collaborating with the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil.
